AMERICAN IRISH STATE LEGISLATORS CAUCUS
In October 2021 as part of a National Conference of State Legislators Visit to Ireland, Mark launched the American Irish State Legislators Caucus in the Round Room of the Mansion House in Dublin. The Mansion House is the venue where the first ever Irish Parliament was held.
The American Irish State Legislators Caucus is a bi-partisan network of current and former American Irish legislators and legislators who are friends of Ireland from across the United States of America at the local and state level of government and their counterparts in Ireland at local and national level.
The Caucus is inclusive, it is open to everyone those who have Irish Heritage and those who are supporters of Ireland.

The goal is to foster and strengthen the longstanding relationship that exists between the United States of America and Ireland to the mutual advantage of both countries.
The Caucus takes a leading role in promoting the discussion, dissemination, and exchange of ideas and information among its members, and to increase the understanding of issues of mutual importance to both countries.
The Caucus educates on public policy and joint action on issues that affect the important geopolitical relationship between the United States and Ireland.
The members of the Caucus strongly support the Good Friday Agreement and will support the people of Ireland in their work towards a shared future for all people on the island of Ireland.
In recognition of the crucial role played by so many legislators, diplomats and public officials on both sides of the Atlantic, the Caucus regards the protection of the peace process as a cornerstone of our ongoing mission.
The Caucus also advocates for the celebration of Irish heritage, in all its guises, and the strengthening of economic, social and cultural ties between the two countries through its network of public representatives and legislators, both past and present.
