American Irish Legislators of New York 40th Anniversary Webinar

On March 12th Senator Daly was honored to address the American Irish Legislators of New York 40th Anniversary Webinar. The online event, which coincided with the St Patrick's Day celebrations of 2021, was attended by legislators at state and national level from across the United States and their counterparts at local and national level here in Ireland.

The event was chaired by Senator Daly's close friend Senator Tim Kennedy of New York. Senator Kennedy spoke about the challenge of the COVID-19 Pandemic and its impact on communities in Ireland, the U.S. and across the globe. He stressed that nations would need to come together in the post-covid world to address the issues facing us.

Also addressing the Webinar were the Leader of Seanad Éireann Regina Doherty, President of the AILG Mary Hoade and Assemblyman Mike Cusick of New York. Senator Daly looks forward to being involved in similar events with the American Irish Legislators Society in the future.
